Poetry by Mark Mendel
Photographs by Anne Bray
Shown as slide projections in the streets and at Franklin Furnace

In 1979, I was photographing words outdoors: advertising, graffiti, municipal texts, everything; hundreds of words. Our collaboration began when I suggested that Mark Mendel organize my Boston images into an urban poem that could be shown as projected photographic slides in the streets. In 2024 we revisited this project, digitizing the original slides and formatting them for his website, markmendel.com/lostcontactlens

See whole work there which is best read outloud.
